North Korea's young leader, Kim Jong Un, urged the country to bolster its military strength this week, as a war could begin "without prior notice," the nation's state media agency said Wednesday
The 30-year-old leader on Christmas Eve visited a command center for the Korean People's Army called the Command of Large Combined Unit 526, giving instructions for soldiers to be ready for combat at any time, the Korean Central News Agency reported.
Earlier this month, the Supreme Leader publicly ordered the execution
of his "traitor" uncle, Jang Song-Thaek, by firing squad. The country
condemned Song-Thaek as "despicable human scum" and "worse than a dog."
