Househelps, maids, mboch, home manager — whatever you call them — cook, clean every spot in our houses, do the laundry and look after our children. They know some of our deepest secrets, and even know what the husband’s boxers look like. Without them, some families would be in turmoil. But before you know it, that woman who you sometimes ignore like furniture, or put under the microscope, could soon officially graduate into your children’s stepmother, yes, your co-wife. Lina Omare just could not imagine what attracted her husband to the poor tacky househelp. But the more she thought about it, the more she got confused. And the fact that her husband was willing to marry the househelp troubled her the more. Her husband, Noah is the general manager of one of the country’s leading banks, and Lina the human resource manager of a top insurance company. They had been married for 15 years. He was a respected church elder where they fellowship every Sunday, and the youth looked up to him as a role model. His humility and modest disposition, despite his position, were simply matchless. And his moral uprightness was unquestionable. In a world where all men are often tarred with the same brush with regard to fidelity, Lina often boasted about her husband’s commitment: “Even if I catch him naked in the same room with another woman, I will still doubt if anything really happened between them,” she would tell her friends. So she just could not understand what came over him to have stooped so low to have an affair with their not-so-attractive, and illiterate woman. It was the fear of hiring a house help that could entice her husband that made her decide against engaging Cynthia, the high school dropout who looked a bit more presentable and literate than Irene, now her co-wife. “I don’t not understand why my husband could not tame himself against his own househelp after he had endured some of the most tempting women of his life,” admits Lina. Lina remembers her husband effecting transfers of two of his personal secretaries and requested that he would no longer work with any female secretary because of their seductive tendencies. “The most tempting of all was his nightly encounter with Marion, the sexy public relations executive from the bank’s communications department, who often travelled with him for business meetings,” she narrates. Despite his ability to ward off these kinds of mounting pressures from women, Lina is surprised that her husband, who she thought could never look at another woman twice, could fall for their househelp, when there was practically no temptation. So you can imagine how the budding relationship between her husband and the househelp almost caused her a heart attack! She had never suspected anything until eventually, like nature would have it, the seed her husband and their house girl had sown in a relationship that had lasted about three months in her own house began to manifest — Irene’s two-months pregnancy! What infuriated her the more, Lina’s husband insisted that he was renting a house for Irene and pledged to support his baby and the mother! He could not take the blame for infidelity and instead, Noah blamed Lina for the mess. He told her that the househelp had something that she did not have. Noah said the househelp respected him. She made him feel welcome in his home. But why go in for a maid? What is behind the appeal of seducing an employee, specifically one who works in your home? Are women failing in their role as wives? Men claim that women today are not being wives. Career women, they say, have become so distant and aggressive that they have become a turnoff to men. “She denies you sex, she is moody and does not talk to you. So, you look for pleasure elsewhere,” says Patrick, a father of two. He confesses that he does not remember the last time he kissed his wife, because ‘She is never there’. “She always claims she had a difficult day and she is tired. And what do I do when I have a woman under my roof, whether she is a maid or not?” Agnes Zani, a sociologist from the University of Nairobi says men are emotionally driven beings who want their wives to show them that they are appreciated. She says that what attracts men to women is their femininity. This is the same way women find masculinity attractive in men. Unfortunately, women these days have become so masculine, distant and aggressive that they have become a turn offto men. “Many women use their salary and position at work to transform themselves from the beautiful feminine woman they are into becoming more masculine at home. This could be making feminine and submissive maids at home attractive to men,” she says adding, “the househelp makes their bed, washes his pants and even cooks and serves the husband food. Human beings by nature love a person who is close to them.” Some women are impolite to their husbands and this forces them to look for comfort elsewhere. “This frustrates husbands, who feel women must be submissive to them. The result is that the husband looks for an easy, submissive alternative around them for sex, and in this case, housemaids,” says zani. Magdalene Wangui, a marriage counsellor concurs that domestic workers are becoming so powerful that many marriages and relationships are threatened. She says cases of men sleeping with their helpers are on the rise, and most cases of infidelity she has dealt with has involved a helper. These women, she notes, are often younger, obedient, enlightened, single and struggling with financial issues, and many of the men they sleep with are doing well financially. With money and power comes a sense of entitlement. She adds that men like to use their masculinity to advance their power by picking on weaker people such as maids and young girls. “House girls in the present day are younger, wear stylish clothes, are more educated and because of their age they are vulnerable and available to their male bosses,” she explains. She says by nature power is attractive and maids are at risk because they may also be attracted to the allure of male power. “The power dynamic works both ways because maids are also privy to the private lives of those who pay them. Maids get to see their secrets. So, in a way, the bosses are beholden to the maid. She has power over them.” She warns couples especially wives from involving the maid in their personal conflicts by, for example, complaining to the maid about the wife or the husband. She tells women to get more involved in the house work even if they are not doing the job themselves. The intangibles She also says couples can also just agree to treat the maid as the employee of the wife so that subsequently, even though tasks are carried out by the maid, the instructions and intentions come from the wife, thereby strengthening the couple’s relationship. Susan Catherine Keter, author of the book Marriage takes more than love admits that house girls are a threat to the marriage institution. She agrees that physical appearance and good cooking will attract a man, but will not sustain a marriage in the long term. When the pressures of life catch up, children need to further their education, aging parents get chronically ill and bills soar, the job market becomes hostile and cut-throat; the man will realise that great looks and cooking are not all that he needs, as peace of mind is the number one need. “Marriage is more than sex, good cooking and the dressing code. She says you cannot compare a househelp who just does the house chores and ‘is always there’ to your wife who is working hard sacrificing her time with you to complement your financial contribution in the home,” she says. Pastor Franck Kabele, 35, told his congregation he could repeat the biblical miracle, and he attempted it from a beach in Gabon’s capital of Libreville. ‘He told his followers he’d had a revelation that if he had enough faith, he could walk on water like Jesus,’ an eyewitness told theGlasgow Daily Record. ‘He took his congregation to the beach saying he would walk across the Komo estuary, which takes 20 minutes by boat. He walked into the water, which soon passed over his head and he never came back.’ A researcher at Florida State University believes he has a natural explanation for the account of Jesus’ miraculous walk on the surface of water — ice. Professor of Oceanography Doron Nof and the co-authors of his study theorize that a rare combination of optimal water and atmospheric conditions resulted in a unique, localized freezing phenomenon called ‘springs ice.’ “This horrible incident, together with a “professor’s” response, progresses from the tragically untaught to the supremely obtuse. The Tragedy of Ignorance“‘Pastor’ Kabele” obviously was a very sincere man; but sincerity does not nullify ignorance. I do not use this term in a pejorative way. All of us are ignorant in some matters. It’s just that sometimes one form of ignorance can have a greater consequence than others. In the first place it should be noted that “revelations” from God do not occur today. When the Old Testament era came to an end in Malachi’s day, 400 years passed with no “revelations” from God. When the New Testament was completed, and the apostles and other people possessing miraculous abilities died, no further signs were provided. Had poor Mr. Kabele known his Bible better, he would not have attempted his “miracle” feat; had he possessed a moderate amount of common sense, he quickly would have discovered he could not “walk on water,” before the sea finally welcomed him to the livelyhood of ecosystem

Prophet David Owuor and Bishop Dr Margaret Wanjiru are embroiled in an ugly fight over claims of prosperity gospel and ‘fake miracles’among themselves The two servants of God have been lashing at each other always questioning the credibility of the other’s miracles, qualifications and dedication to serve the almighty God Prophet Owuor has over the past few months been castigating ‘false prophets’ whom he claims their sole aim was “to milk money from the congregation”. But he was more than blunt recently, when in front of huge crowds in Kakamega and on live TV, termed Bishop Wanjiru “a false prophet”. He further mocked the Jesus is Alive Ministries founder, saying: “She claims the glory is here yet she can’t even perform one miracle,” to a thunderous crowd. Days after Prophet Owuor attacked her on live TV, Bishop Wanjiru promptly responded. In an interview with The Nairobian, Bishop Wanjiru dismissed Prophet Owuor as “an idler who has so much time in his hands and nothing to do with it”. She further questioned Prophet Owuor’s famous claim that he never accepts sadaka from his congregation. “Can he explain the fleet of expensive cars he drives around in? Can he explain the lavish lifestyle he is accustomed to? I would want to know which spiritual world he gets those things from so that I can also go and get them for myself,” said an angry Bishop Wanjiru. She further claimed Prophet Owuor’s miracles were highly questionable. “Can someone explain to me how someone in crutches will walk just for the duration of Owuor’s rally and the next day they are back to using crutches? He just gives people energizers and claims he is performing miracles,” claimed Bishop Wanjiru, terming Prophet Owuor a “one-day miracle man”. Wanjiru further said she had issues with Owuor calling himself a prophet. “Who anointed him as a prophet? We are all servants of God. We serve the same God. In fact, Owuor’s academic papers are very questionable,” she said. Bishop Wanjiru says her church members who were “very bitter” informed her of Owuor’s hostility towards her. “I ignored him (for days after the Kakamega crusade) as I have always done but I think this time, I needed to respond,” says Bishop Wanjiru. Bishop Wanjiru attributes Prophet Owuor’s hostility towards her to jealousy. “He is idle, and he has spent a lot of time trying to fight me, but I let God fight my battles. I ignore him and I think it hurts him. He wants to be noticed. And he can achieve that by attacking me. I remain steadfast in my commitment to serve God and I won’t let Owuor distract me,” says Bishop Wanjiru. When reached for comment, Prophet Owuor’s handlers declined to comment. However, the head of the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness has in the past said he does not engage in “prosperity gospel”. He once said: “In some towns like Mombasa, prostitutes go to pastors to pray for them so that they can get clients, and they promise to give tithes from the proceeds of their activities. God is angry over witchcraft in the church. Some church leaders mix God with witchcraft.” The prophet has maintained that the church in Kenya has lost its moral authority. There has been speculation about his nationality, but he insists he is a Kenyan from Siaya. He refuses to talk about his trademark unkempt beard. He said in an interview on October 19, 2004, that he was shown the state of the church in Kenya and had to preach to the clergy across the country to repent. “The pastors and bishops were and still are preaching the gospel of prosperity,” he said. “They engage in material gospel and this leads to sexual sin and some even abandon their call and join politics. I am an example. We do not collect offering during our meetings but God provides. If I were to collect offerings, I would become a millionaire instantly but that is not what I was called for.” Bishop Wanjiru has had her fair share of negative publicity. In a previous interview, Wanjiru confessed to have dabbled in witchcraft before she got saved. Before one “jigger-infested man” came to the scene a few years back, claiming to be her estranged husband, Wanjiru was to wed a South African. Kamangu Ndimu put a damper on Wanjiru’s plans and the wedding was called off. She had revealed in interviews that she was a mother of children whose father’s whereabouts she did not know — in fact, she was not sure whether he was alive or dead. Wanjiru confessed of loneliness and said she would unveil a man she plans to tie the knot with and live happily thereafter Her plans to marry the South African preacher, Samuel Matjeke, however failed. In 2007, she was elected as MP for Starehe in a hotly contested election. In 2008, she was appointed into the Cabinet as an Assistant Minister for Housing. In last year’s elections, she ran for Nairobi senator but lost to Mike Sonko. During the campaigns for her party ODM primaries and the general election, there were allegations that she had fake academic papers. She had to defend herself countless times over claims by her critics that she had not earned her PhD. Wanjiru claimed she received the degree of Doctor of Theology from Vineyard Harvester Bible College in 2003. The Nairobian”.

A 21-year-old Polish girl by the name Ania Lisewska has told how she aims to sleep her way into the record books - by bedding 100,000 men around the world. Ania Lisewska - from Warsaw, Poland - told her Facebook followers she plans to sleep with men in every city in the world for her s3x marathon. A South Africa pastor shocked the world when he made his followers to eat grass stating that he wanted to prove  that a human being can be controlled by spirits  Pastor Daniel, who is the founder and Head Pastor at Rabboni Centre Ministries, situated at north of Pretoria, said he was basically trying to prove that humans can be controlled by the spirit and they can eat anything to feed their bodies.The act shocked many people  and a debate was sparked by the pastors deed with many questioning his faith and the mission of his ministry. It is ironical how the pastor initiated the act since the scripture states that''give to the poor''unlike his act to convince them to act like cows and eat grass.

Blaze Binder was fined $1500 in St Gallen court this week after posting the images online in February, after the nursing home had shut.
The 37-year-old, who was born in the Philippines and is married to a Swiss man, captioned the photo: “Guess if she is asleep or dead.”
“I’ll give you a hint, I’m the soul robber,” wrote Binder, who advertises her services as a dominatrix and has numerous photos of herself posing in fetish outfits on Facebook.
She also wrote: “Their time is up, gonna send them to Hell where some belong, the rest in the compost pit for fertilisers hehehe.”
When another Facebook user complained about the shocking images she said death was normal and she could post whatever she wanted on her wall.
But the court thought otherwise, finding her guilty of violating the peace of the dead and a breach of trust.
She was also given a suspended fine equivalent to 120 days wages.
The son of the nursing home resident featured in the photos, Rudi Forrer, told the newspaper Blick he was shocked by what had happened.
“I do not understand for the life of me how such a thing can happen in a retirement home,” he said.
Binder said the images were “beautiful”.
